September 2023 Newsletter

Updated: Nov 15, 2023

Dear Neurowrx Members, Sarah Clark here, and happy to make your acquaintance! As Neurowrx's new Business Director, one of my top directives is to find ways to increase the overall value of your Neurowrx membership. With that goal in mind, I have prepared a short survey to collect your insights on what's currently working, what opportunities are there for improvement, what you'd like to see from us, and how we can better facilitate idea-sharing among our membership community. If you have a few minutes, please complete the survey today. We appreciate your time, and value your thoughtful feedback as it helps us serve you better.

Join US in Chicago for our 2023 International Conference on October 18 through 20.

Neurowrx 2023 International Conference

Are you joining us in Chicago for this year's conference? The lineup is packed with talks by thought leaders of neurodiversity in the workplace and beyond, the potential for networking is unparalleled, and the positive energy generated through the sharing of ideas is, I've been told, what makes every Neurowrx conference an unforgettable experience. I hope I'll see you there on October 18 through 20. Haven't signed up to attend yet? Please register now!

Directory Update Coming Soon!

New Neurowrx Website Directory

As we're focusing on enhancing your membership benefits, we're also working to expand the Neurowrx website. One leading project: creating a public-facing directory of neuroinclusive employers, talent networks, and other organizations that support the neurodiversity movement. (Neurowrx members will be featured more prominently, of course.) We already have your organization's information on file, but if you'd like to make sure that the most up-to-date details are published when our directory goes live, please complete this form at your earliest convenience. If there are other neuroinclusive organizations in your network, they are more than welcome to sign up to join our directory as well. Feel free to forward them that survey link!

New Podcast Launch + Invitation

Aspiritech is launching a new podcast and would love to invite fellow Neurowrx members to be their guests on upcoming episodes of On the Verge: Conversations with the Neurodiversity Movement. Aspiritech CEO and Neurowrx Board Member Tara May, along with neurodivergent host Rachael Brusic and Aspiritech Employment Support Specialist Robin Kacyn, are recording conversations on work being done in the neurodiversity movement, among other topics their guests would like to explore. If you're interested, Aspiritech has provided these next steps to set up your interview:

  • Please use this Calendly link to schedule your recording. Recordings are typically booked for an hour, but are anticipated to take 30 to 40 minutes. You'll need headphones with a microphone and a quiet space to record. The recording will take place on Zoom.

  • Recordings usually happen on Tuesdays, but if you need a different day or a time change due to time zones, just let the team know so that they can accommodate your schedule.

  • Aspiritech asks that you to complete this short survey at least two business days before recording to ensure that your bio and other information are correct, understand any topics you want to cover (or not), and be aware of accommodations you might need so they can be as helpful as possible. The estimated survey completion time is 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Aspiritech will share your podcast episode with their audience via email and social media, feature it on their website, and more.

  • View the podcast's media kit for more information.

I work in alignment with both Aspiritech and Neurowrx on advocating for neurodiversity and employment, so I am happy to field any scheduling considerations and will be in touch about marketing your episode. Email me at sarah.clark@aspiritech.org if you need assistance!

Thank you for being here.

If you made it this far into this newsletter, thank you! Once again, if you haven't yet, please take a moment to fill out our membership survey. We want to know how to help you make the most of your Neurowrx membership and aid your efforts in supporting global autistic employment.

If you have any questions, would like to get in touch, or have ideas to include in the next newsletter, don't hesitate to contact me. I can correspond by email, voice/video call, and just about everything in between. Very best, Sarah Clark Business Director, Neurowrx
